Flawless feeding and super accurate

I shoot a 9mm Colt Competition 1911. It's an accurate single stack handgun that performs well with FMJ round nose ammo. The indoor range is a great distance from my house, so I shoot at least 300 rounds, often more, on each visit to the range. My barrel would get extremely hot from the friction of firing off so many rounds in a relatively short time and I was worried about friction causing barrel wear on my handgun. So I began using Federal's Synteck round nose polymer coated ammunition. The poly-coating considerably reduces barrel heat from friction and I was amazed at how clean the handgun is after going through so many rounds compared to previous FMJs. Unfortunately Federal's Synteck poly-coated ammo design was changed to all flat nose. With their change to flat nose I get repeated and very annoying feeding issues with every magazine. After researching on-line and sampling various small producers of poly-coated ammo, I finally chose Zeroed Ammunition that manufactures high quality round nose poly-coated ammo. I started with their standard length 147 grain 9mm and have been very pleased with its performance, equaling that of Federal's Syntech, but with much more reliable feeding in my Colt 1911. After shooting several hundreds of rounds I should report that I notice a bit more smoke and an occasional failure to feed, but it's acceptable. Then Zeroed Ammunition recently introduced its slightly longer round nose version called "2011" designed to help with feeding issues on newer 2011 double stack handguns. Their 2011 title is a bit misleading because using my 1911 I just shot off 100 rounds of it and had absolutely no feeding issues. If anyone has a finicky feeding handgun you should try this ammo even if you don't own a 2011. I'm now ordering larger quantities of the 2011 135 gr ammo because I feel that it's a more accurate round in addition to its feeding reliably, as well as having the many important advantages of being polymer coated......I'm definitely sticking with this ammo.
